The Road

The servant bowed again, "Yes sir. Please follow me." She led them down a maze of hallways. Now they could walk easily by the servants, but they still gave the two appeared teens strange looks as they passed. The woman stopped and opened a door, revealing a large kitchen area. 

Claire stepped inside and the servant asked, "May I be of any more assistance?" Claire thought it over and then turned back to her, "Please do not disturb us. Or at least as little as possible."

The servant bowed one last time,"Yes ma'am."  She then closed the door and left them alone. 

Narora let out a quiet sigh, and relaxed. Eyes normal again, bright and full of energy.

"That was a close one. Good thinkin' on your part Claire!" He complemented, a smile on his face as his eyes somehow turned into upside down Vs.

Claire nodded her head, her expression more calm. She had a happier look on her face, though she wasn't smiling. "You helped me a lot. I probably couldn't have gotten out of that on my own," she admitted to him. Then the black haired girl waved her hand at the space around her. "Well it looks like you have your chance. I'd take it if I were you." She leaned up against the counter, and twirled a piece of her hair around her finger.

Narora tilted his head as he stepped over to a fridge near the room. "You don't want anything to snack on?" He asked her, as he searched. It was actually quite comical, he seemed to reach almost his whole body in there looking for something.

What...well even he wasn't sure about...

Claire looked over at him, watching Narora dig through the refrigorator. She walked over and stood next to him. She had said to take the opprtunity...

Well it wouldn't hurt anyone if she did. "Is there anything good in there?"

Narora pulled out a cake and set it on the counter next to them. He pulled out a bunch of sandwich materials, there was probably bread somewhere... Next he pulled out pasta salad. Next was a large gallon of Milk, some butter, ketchup, more cake, more cheese, a picture of a key saying 'CURSED' all over it, a treasure chest, and an elephant which he set loose outside the wind.

...how it all fit in there... or WHY they were all in there was forever unknown...

She stared at the items he pulled out, and raised an eyebrow at the even stranger ones. "Well I guess when people describe wealth...they do a good job." Claire looked from the food to the rest of the room, "Eh...it wouldn't hurt anyone if we did." No servants should be barging in anyway. She began to go through other cabinets, curious.

Narora grabbed onto something in the fridge. He placed his feet on the sides of the doors and pulled with all his might animatedly. He was sent flying as the item came loose. He landed with a large wedding cake in his hands.

He tilted his head as he looked at it. "...huh?" Was all he could say as he placed it on the table and went back to the fridge. Finally, he pulled out a box of pocky, which he soon stored away in his jacket, his love of Pocky forcing him to.

He closed the door and sat down at the counter and began making sandwiches, quite quickly actually.

Claire gave up going through the other cabinents, nothing interesting in them. She pulled out some silverware though, and walked back over to Narora. "You're pretty quick." She noted how fast he was making the sandwiches and decided to pitch in and help herself. Though she was no match for his speed, it was amusing to compare the two.

Narora smiled happily at the complement, giving a silent thank you as he put most of his concentration on making the sandwich. As he placed the fixed ones on a plate, he would work on the next. Experience from 500 Years of life kicking in and helping him out.

Finally, he placed the last one on the plate and smiled... it was a mountain... how he ate this much and didn't gain an ounce of weight has got to be one of the great wonders of the world...

Claire took the sandwhich she had made and was about to take a bite when she saw Narora's stack. It was huge, and she stared at it for a few moments. Maybe Chains have larger appetites? Not wanting to be rude and ask, she simply took a bite of her own, glancing over every now and then to see how Narora would eat all of them.

Narora smiled as he began to eat...well... more like Inhale... The large mountain of sandwiches was starting to dwindle down as his hands were a blur eating.

It was amazing he didn't gain an ounce from just eating it... then again... he was a chain so he might have worked out a lot to keep in shape. He sat back and patted his stomach with a happy smile and sigh. The stack was gone... in under a minute and a half...

Claire stared at Narora, unintentionally, when she realized how quickly he had eaten all of the sandwiches. While all of his seemed to be gone in no time at all, she wasn't even finished with her own. "Wow," she said without thinking, and then blushed in embarrassment. How could she have been so rude? "S-sorry..."

Narora waved her off, smiling lightly. "It's fine, I've had worse things said about it." In truth, people had always said along the same line of things she had just said. He just told her that to make her feel better, rather than saying that everyone says the same thing.

He smirked inwardly, thinking of something to say to embarrass her more. "Ya know...-" he stopped when he heard the door's handle jiggle and stood up quickly, putting on a mask to keep up his 'Royal' act. Inside, he was hoping she wouldn't remember to ask him later what he was going to say, now that he had a clear mind after eating.

When Narora jumped up Claire quickly glanced towards to door. Someone was coming in, she realized. She moved by Narora's side and brushed herself off. Then she pulled at her sleeves and adjusted her cloak, and straighted her posture. It was the best she could think of to do to pull off someone important. Anxiously she stood, waiting for whoever it was to come in.

As the door opened, Narora had to resist the urge to grab hold of his gun when a soldier appeared and walked in.

When the man, or woman... he couldn't tell behind that helm, saw them, he immediately pointed a sword at them. He must not have been informed that they were there.

"Who are you?! Why are you in here?!" He called to them in a fierce voice, trying to intimidate them.

Narora cleared his throat, and got that look in his eyes again, he smirked inwardly when he saw the soldier flinch slightly. "Is this how you treat your guests?" He called out, his voice slightly elevated.

Claire listened to Narora and watched the guard's reaction. She decided that the way she had spoken to the servants earlier wasn't going to work this time. She hardened her voice and her expression held both annoyance and anger, "You would dare to raise a weapon to us? Two people who were invited here, and are simply enjoying our time? We gave specific instructions to not be disturbed. Shall I report this incident to the head of the house?" Her act sounded genuine, hopefully the guard believed it.
